Butler Township Welcomes a New Commissioner

On January 2nd, three Butler Township Commissioners were sworn into office by Judge Maura Palumbi. Judge Palumbi also presented the Oath of Office to all Butler Township Volunteer Fire District Station 3 line officers.
Commissioners Joe Wiest, Jim Lokhaiser, Jr. and newly elected David Rice proudly made their oath and conducted the first meeting and voting session of their newest term. Commissioner Lokhaiser was also elected by the board as the Butler Township Board of Commissioners President, followed by Sam Zurzolo as Vice-President. We would like to welcome Commissioner Rice to the Butler Township Board and express our excitement to work with him going forward.
Let us all wish them luck in leadership and decision making for our township. We are happy to have them!
